Both Sacred Heart and Holy Trinity are hosting their Grade 7 transition meetings on Thursday, March 2, from 7 to 8pm. Parents and students are invited to attend the meeting to learn more about general program information and the structure of a typical day at the school. Parents are reminded to attend the session according to their school catchment assignments, as cross boundary exceptions do not apply.

A reminder that our Pita Lunch day is taking place on Tuesday, February 28th this week, due to Ash Wednesday. Next week, our lunch program will go back to Wednesday, our regularly scheduled day.
All students are encouraged to wear a pink shirt on Wednesday, February 22nd, to show that our entire school community will continue to stand up to bullying. Students and teachers across the country will be wearing pink shirts and showing their support.
Bus service has been cancelled today, but the school remains open. Parents who drop off their children are responsible for picking up their children at 3pm. While it is a Snow Day, Mazzola will still be making their food order delivery for today's scheduled Lunch. If your child will not be coming to school today, you can cancel your order through the Mazzola website this morning.
The McDonald's fundraiser night scheduled for Wednesday, February 8th, will proceed as scheduled. Twenty percent of any purchases made at the 1250 Stittsville Main Street McDonald's location, from 4 - 8pm, will be given to the Catholic School Council to support school initiatives. We hope to see you there!
On Thursday, February 2nd, St. Stephen School is celebrating National Sweater Day. National Sweater Day is a fun way to learn about the importance of saving energy and to inspire everyone to use less heat all winter. All students are encouraged to wear a cozy sweater.
On Friday, February 3rd, we will be holding a Gospel Values Assembly, at 2:00 pm in the gym. We will be presenting certificates to students in Grades 1 to 6 who were selected from each class as students who demonstrate the need for, and importance of, faith and hope in their daily actions.
The St. Stephen Catholic School Council will be holding their next meeting on Wednesday, January 25th. All interested parents are welcome to attend the meeting, which will begin in the school staff room at 6:30pm. It is a chilly day today, but we are still very excited to have our Christmas Concert this evening (Thursday, December 15th). The performances will be held outdoors, on the stage set up behind the school, as scheduled. The concert will run from approximately 5pm - 6:30pm.
All students are asked to meet their teachers at Mr. Lyons' classroom (Room 175) approximately 10 - 15 minutes before their scheduled performance.
